The Association continues to work diligently on a number of projects as the year progresses.  Certainly, one of the major activities involves the planning for the next conference in Memphis.  We’re also working to improve member information on the website, increase training opportunities for you, reviewing and improving services related to CPFIM/ACPFIM accreditations, as well as reaching out to prospective new members throughout the country.  A few of these items have been highlighted in the following newsletter.

Upcoming Cybersecurity Webinar

The APT US&C is sponsoring a “members only” webinar Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 2pm Central in partnership with the Bank of America.  The webinar will cover fraud prevention and cybersecurity in today’s evolving landscape.

The one hour webinar qualifies for .5 hours of CPFA points and 1.0 ACPFA points.  This will be the first of a series of free webinars being offered to APT US&C members.

An invitation was sent to APT US&C active members last week with information on how to sign up for the webinar.  We hope you’re able to participate in this very topical webinar.
 

CPFIM Program Update

The current contract for CPFIM & ACPFIM training services ends in December and the Board of Directors is currently finalizing plans for providing training both for an interim and long-term basis.  Please be aware only APT US&C sponsored training is eligible for CPFIM & ACPFIM accreditation.  If you have questions regarding training and accreditation eligibility, please contact headquarters at (414) 908-4947 or customercare@aptusc.org.

Membership News

The APT US&C offers many opportunities to members who are interested in becoming involved with the Association’s activities.  In addition to participating in the decision-making process for continuing programs like memberships, accreditations, publications and education, opportunities are also available to assist in the Association’s technology/website administration and expanding your expertise by participating in various policy reviews, including investment, debt, disaster preparedness and cash handling policies.

News & Notes

The Conference Committee continues work to offer you the best in educational and networking opportunities with the 2018 APT US&C Annual Conference in Memphis, TN.  You will be receiving additional information in the next few weeks, and “local attractions” information and conference details will be shared over the next few months.  Evaluation responses provided by members and sponsors were very much appreciated and will be used to enrich the conference experience in Memphis. We’re very much interested in your input and we’ll be reaching out to you for your suggestions on conference topics in the coming weeks.  We look forward to seeing you in Memphis!
